2012 - A YEAR OF CELEBRATION 

The events leading up to the year of celebration have now started. We hope all our activities will provide all our supporters, friends and OWs the opportunity to come and join what we hope will be a tremendously exciting year for Wolverhampton Grammar School.

We have built the programme of events around those activities that have helped make WGS such a success over the past five centuries and so art, drama, music and sport will play a key part in marking the quincentenary, along with celebratory events where VIP guests will be invited to come along share in our history.

If you are hoping to join in with our celebrations and are looking to plan your visit to coincide with a particular event, the attached schedule can be downloaded for reference. You are also more than welcome to  also contact the school on 01902 422939 or via email gail@wgs-sch.net  for further details of any of the events or for help with items such as accomodation should you be coming from outside the area.

Class Reunions

The Class of 1990 reunion was a geat success. Over 40 OWs and teachers came along to the school to catch up, share memories and mark the 20th anniversary of leaving WGS.

WGS has endeavoured to shadow the published term dates for Wolverhampton LA schools but some schools may alter dates due to staff training days.

Tuesday 10th  January – Thursday 5th April
(Half term  Monday 13th February – Friday 17th February)
Parents should note that some external exams may take place on Monday 9th January

September 17th 2011 is set to be a very important day for the Old Wulfrunians Sports Festival as it marks the ‘unofficial’ launch of a milestone year in the history of Wolverhampton Grammar School.
